5 ...an insipid romance, with some of the funniest guys in Hollywood squandered on gay jokes, a foul-mouthed grandmother and a checklist of family dysfunction.

10 The one-liners are fast and furious, Vaughn has never been funnier, and the supporting cast is always one-upping each other.

10 Without question, Wedding Crashers is the bust-a-gut funniest movie of the year. It's not even close.

5 There are a few good laughs, but not nearly enough clever ideas to keep things hopping for two hours.

Funny. Refreshingly funny. Really damn funny. Funny-because-they-didn't-spoil-the-movie-by-giving-away-all-the-good-jokes-in-the-trailer funny. I cannot recall ever seeing a film that carefully balanced being a comedy yet have a caring "chick flick"-esque story. Vaughn & Wilson balance each other out as well.

Too funny for it's own good.

madmitch  8

Fantastically funny! There is enough wacky in this film to keep it going right up to the end. Very enjoyable, recommeded!

Vince Vaughn is hilarious.

connie  8

terrific movie with the right combo of comedy and romance that's believable.

Holy cow, what a disappointment. There are a few modest laughs in the first 30 minutes, but the painful remaining rom-com 1:30 makes you completely forget them. The script is so chock full of cliches it seems like it was written by a high-schooler; possibly junior college (the gay thing with the painter and Vince Vaughn is fully abhorrent). On the plus side, Rachel McAdams is lovely and charming and radiant *sigh*. Vaughn oozes charisma, but looks like he's been eating nothing but Krispy Kremes since Old School. Dude, mix in a salad! He's got to be panicked about the receeding hairline, too. With such an lousy script even his talents are almost completely wasted. For once, Roger Ebert is dead on.

I didn't even SEE this movie and I know it sucks out loud. Typically I think that is an ignorant thing to say, but I read enough of the reviews to know I would hate it. Too often today foulness = funny. That's just plain stupid.

Wow - everyone said that at least the 1st half-hour was funny and worth it, but they are wrong. The first half hour is a slew of predictable jokes that elicited exactly one chuckle each from my wife and I. We turned it off after 27:42. Maybe we were spoiled by the 40 Year Old Virgin the week before, which actually was funny. This is only the 3rd movie in my live that I have not made it all of the way through, and certainly the one I turned off the quickest. Thank god for free rental codes for Red Box so I didn't feel like I even wasted a buck on this crap!

Funny but not great. Overall much more entertaining than the 40 year old virgin.

wynns  4

A potentially funny movie ruined by a focus group that wanted the rom-com added in. Way too long.

Not necessarily a good film --in fact, not a good film at all-- but what hold this piece of bawdy crap is the good acting. I must say I feel for it.
