5 Though it's hard not to play it, the expectations game is a dangerous one, especially for sequels. And Roach's original, just like his overexposed star, set us up good.

7 Like the surprisingly funny Meet the Parents, this sequel keeps the laughs coming until the ending.

4 The inevitable follow-up to the successful Meet the Parents delivers far fewer laughs, leaving too much time in which to ponder what a sad spectacle it really is.

6 Why would you want to meet such a blowsy, bawdy, shticky crew in a low-comedy sequel to Meet the Parents? Two reasons only: Barbra Streisand and Dustin Hoffman...

6 This isn't highbrow stuff by any stretch, but much of Fockers is funny...

5 ...there's remarkably little pain and humiliation. Which, for the most part, is not a good thing.

1 ...the movie's assembled a historic, once-in-a-lifetime cast, then stranded them in the laziest, most mercenary kind of sequel imaginable. It's like the 1927 Yankees taking on the Special Olympics softball team.

6 None of this is groundbreaking comedic gold, but there are enough slapstick, toilet, and "Focker sounds like fucker!" jokes for you, your family, and your family's Barbra Streisand fan club to enjoy.

6 Culture-clashing through the snow, in a one-joke open sleigh, Meet the Fockers goes, laughing all the way ... to the bank

Funny stuff and much better than the first Fockers movie with less Ben Stiller slapstick and better all around cast that make if feel right.

When Streisand is the funniest character in a movie...it can't be good and this is not.

I was actually looking forward to this movie......... Only to find out that it was a cheasy tepid remake. Like all others, usually. Quite funny at times. But other than that another mousy, stupid sequel.

It was less than ok. It was just them trying to relive the hillarity of the original movie, their atempts were futile. The comdy was badly done. I would also have expected better from Robert De Niro, who is a truely great actor. This is the type of film you colud expect from Ben Stiller though. This film is destined for obscurity.
