4 It lacks the sharp narrative line and crisp comic-book clarity of the earlier films, and descends too easily into shapeless fight scenes that are chopped into so many cuts that they lack all form or rhythm.

6 For all of its current event references, Trinity seems strangely devoid of cultural commentary, and Dracula's mythic status takes a backseat to an overbusy plot.

8 Thankfully, three vampire hunters are just as good as one, and with some stylized, guns-a-blazin' kung-fu action, Blade: Trinity is just as solid--and as much fun--as the first two movies.

2 Even for diehard fans of the comic series or the first two movies, it's difficult to imagine this film satisfying for anyone.

3 ...lacks anything vaguely resembling a plot, while failing to deliver suspense or thrills.
TV Guide

3 There's nothing beneath the flashy editing and self-consciously cool production design but a soulless adrenaline machine that's never scary and rarely engrossing.

2 ...the movie's pitiful victims will find themselves out the price of a movie ticket and nearly two hours of their lives that they will never get back.
Slant Magazine

4 ...it's time to drive a stake into this franchise's withered heart.
Entertainment Weekly

6 ...blunt-witted, visually pedestrian, and overly long...

3 ...a choppy, forgetful, suspense-free romp that substitutes campy humor for chills.
Los Angeles Times

5 There's probably enough ingenuity in the weaponry and mayhem and bleak humor to engage genre fans, but it would be kinder to retire Blade while he's still at the top of his game than to let him die a slow death of sheer repetitiveness.

5 Blade fans will be pleased, and the rest of us don't suffer unbearably.
LA Weekly
Scott Foundas
3 By and large, the jokes fall flat, and the entire film often seems as fatigued as its star...
Village Voice

3 ...aside from the effectively staged action sequences Trinity is cheap-looking and laughably inept.

3 ...does nothing more ambitious than continue a sputtering franchise.

7 ...an enjoyable action flick with a strong emphasis on humor, slow-mo fight scenes, and Biel's midriff, but compared with the first two installments of the series, this one comes dangerously close to sucking.
Premiere
Aaron Hillis
5 Big and dumb and loud and entirely past its prime...

Aparently all the old Vampires have been killed off and replace by new Bannana Republic/ Gap Kids. Be Ready to laugh or cry.

Sat through this because my roommate wanted to ogle a shirtless Ryan Reynolds. Movie was aweful, and shirtlessness lasted about 30 seconds. We both agree a waste of time.
